Please Donate to Help Us Continue Our Humane Work
We operate entirely on donations and almost every penny of those
donations goes to pay our vet bills. Your donation of $10.00 will
vaccinate a kitten. Your donation of $50.00 will almost neuter a tom cat.
Your donation of $125.00 will spay and help to vaccinate a female cat, thereby preventing the birth of many kittens, many of whom would be doomed to die within their first year of life.
We have been very busy so far in 2011 and have spayed and neutered an unusually high number of cats. This means we have unusually high vet bills for the time of year! We need a lot of help to pay these bills down so we can keep on doing what we do best — humanely controlling the feral cat population of the Valley.
We have an account at the Cowichan Valley Bottle Depot. Simply tell them at the counter that you are donating the proceeds of your recyclables to Cowichan Cat Rescue and we will be credited with your refund. As tiny as most such donations are, they add up to one of our most reliable sources of income year round.
Slice of Life
not only makes great coffee and food — they are our #1 choice to cater our Low Cost Spay/Neuter clinics — but they also save all their bottles and cans for CCR!
Certain BC Government Employees, those who are PECSF contributors, can donate to us through their charitable payroll deduction plan. Again, a series of small donations can really add up for us.
Telus employees can (and do!) also donate through payroll deduction.
Donate To Cowichan Cat Rescue Using Paypal or Canada Helps
Donate using your Pay Pal account or your credit cards here. All donations over $20 will be issued a receipt.
Richard Jones of Crofton had a great idea. He donated the contents of his change jar — we rolled it and it came to $307.16!! Thank you, Richard!
Another wonderful person, a lady who wishes to remain anonymous, routinely puts all her loose change from grocery shopping into a zip lock bag and hands it to us when it gets heavy. The last collection came to an amount over $220.00 after we rolled it! Bless you!
Or donate through Canada Helps. Canada Helps will issue you your tax receipt.
Bequests
Memorial gifts can be made to Cowichan Cat Rescue, in the name of a person or a pet. We are very pleased to send out a personal acknowledgment of any such gifts.
We will use your bequest wisely and well to benefit the welfare of all needy cats in our valley. If you are interested in setting up a bequest, contact us
in order to simplify this process for you.

Donations in Kind- Things We Always Need.
Cat food is always welcome. Donated cat food is distributed to the people who are feeding feral colonies whenever possible. (We have noticed that many of our “feeders” are people on very limited incomes, who share their meager food budgets with the cats.)
Bedding, towels, kitty litter, kitten food, toys, and other kitten supplies are always welcomed by our foster homes.
Cat and pet supplies are also welcome. If these items are not used by our colonies or foster homes, then we will save them to be included in our next garage sale or fundraiser.
Donations in lieu of Christmas or birthday gifts are also welcomed, and a letter of acknowledgment outlining the use to which the gift is put will be promptly sent out.
Those who call us for help are asked if they are able to contribute anything to the cost. No one is turned down if they cannot contribute, but there are times when we simply must stop working long enough to raise a little more money before we carry on.
As you can see, there are many ways you can donate other than sending a cheque to our mailing address.
